Sadako Sasaki was two around the time when the atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in August of 1945. She grew up strong and athletic. But at the age of 11, in 1955, while practicing for a race she became dizzy and fell. Soon after, she was diagnosed with Leukemia or "the atom bomb" disease.
Sadako's best friend told her about and old legend that said anyone who folds one thousand paper cranes will be granted one wish. She wanted to get well again so she could run again. She started worki
PARTY SUCCESSYou guys are the absolute greatest!!!! It was so wonderful to have such an awesome turnout for our 1st Birthday! We broke an all time record of attendance and had some amazing Special Guests show up to help make this party the success that it was. One surprise Special Guest was the ONE, the ONLY amazing :devchix0r:!! That blew us all away.
