Do you ever feel that you have one photo, or one set of photos, of your own, that you compare all work afterwords to? Do you sometimes feel like you have a problem living up to your own expectations? I mean you don't want to repeat the same shoot, but you'd like to repeat the genuine artistic value of that set of shots?

I feel like I created something special here. Since then I felt like every photo I've taken (involving a model that is) is a comparison against this. I of course, do not want to lessen the value of it by re-shooting it. But I suppose I have a little of the "can I really do something like that on purpose? or was it an accident?" I know not everyone likes that series of photos, but, well this is my world, so deal with it.

Earlier this week it was discussed in #flesh to do a behind the scenes sort of collection.

I have decided to focus on the idea of the silly faces models make when a joke is told, or an awkward moment is filled by some sort of silly face.



Its always fun to capture people when they're being natural, even if it may be a bit silly.

I just thought I'd share some "outtakes" if you will, but, fun none the less.

Yea about the most pointless journal entry ever. I was just getting tired of the last one. Thanks to all that participated in the discussion of the last journal. I got some interesting little tidbits of information about my watchers.

And now I shall call upon you again to ask if you believe there is a difference between nude, and naked.

I had an interesting discussion yesterday via text message. It was about whether or not plastic surgery, is "good" for models. And since lately I'm focusing more around the nude female form... Anyway, after your all done, vote in my poll, you can vote anonymously, or leave a comment and let me know how you voted, or feel free to add to this, as long as its respectful.

I discussed both sides of the issue, using the specific issue of implants, and I believe you can see where this is going. Its a controversial subject, to say the least, but something I felt like touching on.

The "good" side of it is perhaps;
The model has a better PBI (positive body image) as a result of such.. enhancements.
The result is someone more comfortable with themselves, therefor, less self consious = better photos

The "bad" side;
Still not satisfied after the surgery.
Negative PBI in the first place to create the desire for the "enhancements"
They're fake

Nothing epic was supposed to come from this, but, some thoughts for us all.
